Ingredients

  1. 150 gmsunsweetened Khoya
  2. 150 gmsPaneer
  3. 2 tbspMaida
  4. 1 pinchbaking powder
  5. 5-6pistachios (sliced) for garnishing
  6. Ghee/oil for deep frying
  7. For Sugar Syrup
  8. 2 cupsSugar
  9. 2 cupswater
  10. 2elachi
  11. 2 pinchesSaffron
  12. 2-3 drop lemon juice

Cooking Instructions

    Add 2cups of water to two cups of sugar and boil it to let the sugar melt.

    Once syrup starts boiling, add crushed Elachi and saffron. Boil for one more minute and keep it aside. Add 2/3 drops of lemon juice.

    Mash Paneer and Khoya together

    Mash thoroughly without any lumps

  5. 5

    Add 2tbsp maida and mix well so that a soft dough is formed

    Add baking powder and mix well. Keep it aside for 10mins

    Make small balls with the dough

    Heat ghee or oil in a pan on low flame. First, fry just one ball.

    Once it is fried, take it out and carefully put it in the sugar syrup

    Fry remaining balls till golden brown

    Take them out

    Put them in the sugar syrup

  13. 13

    Let the jamuns stay in the syrup for sometime. Plate the jamuns, sprinkle pistachio pieces and serve
