Clean and Marinate the chicken overnight with black pepper, jeera powder, chilli powder, turmeric powder and vinegar

Heat oil in a pan and fry the onions and garlic. Once fried allow it to cool and form a paste
- 3
Add some cumin seeds and bay leaves to the oil and add the above masala and saute it for a while
- 4
Add the tomato paste and mix well. Add the tata sampann masala and salt and saute till masala is well cooked
- 5
Mix the marinated chicken into this masala and mix it well. Let it cook either covered in low sim or cook in a pressure cooker

Once the chicken is well cooked after 15 mins and is soft add water as needed and bring to a boil. Add garam masala and remove
- 7
Your masala chicken is ready to be served with paratha or rice. You can add potato into this dish if you like
