Onsen Tamago (Softly Cooked Egg)

‘Onsen Tamago’ is a traditional Japanese softly cooked Egg, which is originally cooked in the water of ‘Onsen’ (Hot Springs). I cook ‘Onsen Tamago’ in the microwave. The result is similar to ‘Poached Egg’, but the yolk is cooked more than white just like ‘Onsen Tamago’. The best thing of this method is time. It takes less than 1 minute using my microwave.

- 4
*Note: Every microwave is different. Cooking time depends on the power, the size of the Egg and the temperature of the Egg and Water. Find out your best setting and timing.
