  • 1 1/3 lbschorizo (about 600 grams)
  • 2/3 lbblood sausage (about 300 grams)
  • 2/3 lbpork belly (about 300 grams)
  • 2chicken breasts
  • 2carrots
  • 1onion
  • 1potato
  • 1 1/8 lbslentils (about 500 grams)
  • 4 handfulsrice
  • 1 splasholive oil
  • Sea salt (to taste)
  • 1 teaspoonblack pepper
  • 1 teaspooncumin
  • 1 headgarlic
  • 6 1/3 cupswater (about 1.5 liters)
  • 2bay leaves

Steps

10 hours
  1. 1

    Chop the onion very finely, peel the potato and carrots.

  2. 2

    Add EVERYTHING, starting with the lentils and rice.

  3. 3

    Then add the onion, potato, carrots, head of garlic, chorizo, blood sausage, pork belly, and chicken breasts.

  4. 4

    Add the splash of olive oil, salt, pepper, cumin, and bay leaves, and cover with hot water. (The lentils I used were organic and didn't need soaking)

  5. 5

    Ensure the water covers all the ingredients by about three fingers' width.

  6. 6

    Set to low for 10 hours and forget about it.

  7. 7

    Done!
