Cooking Instructions
- 1
Add flour and salt to a large bowl and give it a dry mix. Make a well in the center and add the eggs. Mix well and slowly add milk.
- 2
Continue to add milk until the batter becomes very smooth and creamy - not thick.
- 3
Preheat non-stick pan at medium-high heat with drizzle of olive oil.
- 4
When hot, add ladle-full of batter to pan and tilt to cover all areas of pan with batter.
- 5
Check the underside of the Pfannenkuchen once edges begin to brown slightly. Add a small drop of oil to the uncooked side and spread over surface. Flip when bottom is golden.
- 6
Make sure heat is not too high, as this side will only take a minute or so to be done. Once small, light-brown, bubble shaped spots appear, the Pfannenkuchen is done. Remove from the pan and plate.
- 7
Add drizzle of oil to pan and repeat until batter is gone. (roughly 8-10 Pfannenkuchen)
- 8
Serve with savory flavors, such as meats and cheeses or sweet flavors, such as jams and butter.

Pfannekuchen (German Pancakes) with Homemade Apple Sauce Pfannekuchen (German Pancakes) with Homemade Apple Sauce
Pfannekuchen is German for "pancake" but they're really different than the fluffy American-style ones. They're basically big, thin crepes and are sooo delicious! I used to top mine with apple sauce and plenty of powdered sugar. In case you can't buy apple sauce or want to make your own, I included how do make it here. Besides apple sauce, some people eat these with fruit, jam, or nutella too ;) Felice -

This is not like regular pancakes. It is a souffle like pancake done in the oven. It is so easy to make. I use different toppings for this. My favorite is homemade apple butter. Deneen Flowers -

German/Dutch Baby Pancake German/Dutch Baby Pancake
I always try to fix breakfast that doesn't take much time. When my 18 months old is starving, he doesn't look so cute anymore 😄. I love making this pancake because it's quick, easy and delicious. I have tried with many kind of fruit, such as apple, banana, pear and peach, either one is good. I usually serve the pancake with maple syrup, but you can always serve with whipped cream or dusting with powdered sugar. Pawon Indo Bule -

Dutch baby/ German pancake Dutch baby/ German pancake
These are quick easy and everyone loves them. It's kinda like a pancake, crepe, French toast all in one. Just scale up the recipe to fit the demand. For every 1/3 cup of ingredients add 1 egg. You have tons of options to make these savory or sweet. Options could include filling with scramble eggs and bacon. Fresh fruit .Derek
