Steps

Grind the yellow moong dal with 1/4 th cup of water. Make smooth and fine paste.

Add curd and 1/4 th cup of water in a mixing bowl. Mix well.

Then add moong dal paste, chilli ginger paste, salt, 1/4 tsp asafoetida, 1/4 tsp sugar and turmeric powder. Mix well and keep aside.

Take another mixing bowl add fresh grated coconut in it. Then add lemon juice, 1/4 tsp salt, sugar and finely chopped green chilli and mix well.

Heat the moong dal paste mixture in a pan on low flame. Stir continuously till the mixture thick.

Spread the mixture on back of stainless steel thali evenly. Let it cool down.

Now cut it into the strips. Fill the strips with the fresh grated coconut mixture and roll. Instead of coconut you can fill the strips with grated cheese.

Transfer the stuff Khandvi to plate.

Heat the oil in small kadhai on low flame for tadka. Add mustard seeds. Once it splutter add cumin seeds, finely chopped green chilli, asafoetida. Switch off the gas.

Pour this tadka on Khandvi. Now Khandvi is ready to serve.
