Soak the dry peas for 5 hours. Steam it in the pressure cooker after adding salt.

In a mixer grinder add grated coconut, green chilies, salt and mash it.

In a frying pan add oil an dallow to boil add Mustard and Perungayam powder, curry leaves and add the filtered peas.

Add the mashed coconut mixture. Sundal is ready to taste,
