Today I decided to go kienyeji style.
Steps

Put oil in a frying pan and fry your omena till well done and crunchy.

Drain excess oil and put chopped onion and let it cook for about 2 min stirring on medium heat.

Add chopped tomatoes and salt. Stir and cover to cook for about 5min on low heat.

Garnish with coriander leaves and serve.

For the greens, prepare pumpkin leaves plus mrenda and cut.

In a pot, put 2 cups of water and add the baking powder. Let it simmer.

Wash the mrenda and put inside the pot, stir then add the washed pumpkin leaves. Stir and let cook for 10min.

Once cooked, remove from heat and drain excess water using a colander.

Put 1tbsp of oil in another sufuria and add chopped onions, let it brown then add the greens. Let cook for 2min then add milk.

Cover and let simmer for about 2min.

Serve with your ugali.
