Melt butter and milk, let cool slightly

Add flour, salt, yeast, sugar, cinnamon to bowl whisk to combine

Add the buttter and milk mixture. Add vanilla essence and start kneading

Knead the dough until its soft and pliabe

Oil bowl and place dough inside, cover with damp cloth and let rise 1 hour/ until doubles in size

Punch down dough after an hour, knead slightly then divide into four parts

Take one of the dough roll out to your desired thickness. Use glass or cookie cutter to cut round pieces, make the small doughnut holes

Once all dough is rolled out cover with kitchen towel and let rest for 30 minutes

Heat oil in deep bottomed pan. Fry doughnuts until golden brown

Serve with tea or as a snack
