Danish Butter Biscuits
After watching GBBO I tried a Danish recipe - this was the easiest I could find! The biscuits are supposed to be beautifully piped and uniform but as you can see I had to improvise. They still taste good though. Contains ground almonds.

After watching GBBO I tried a Danish recipe - this was the easiest I could find! The biscuits are supposed to be beautifully piped and uniform but as you can see I had to improvise. They still taste good though. Contains ground almonds.
Steps
- 1
Pre-heat oven to 200 degrees C, line baking trays with greaseproof paper or baking parchment
- 2
In a mixing bowl combine flour, ground almond meal, castor sugar, vanilla essence and softened butter
- 3
Add beaten egg and mix to form a sticky dough.
- 4
If you have a piping bag and star nozzle you can pipe circles onto the baking paper/ tray. The mixture will spread so leave approx. 5cm between biscuits. Alternatively put small amounts of dough on to the baking paper/tray
- 5
Bake for approx. 6 -8 mins at 200 degrees C - they should still be pale but slightly golden on the edge.
- 6
Cool on a wire rack
- 7
Enjoy!
