Wash and soak chana dal and urad dal in hot water for 30 min. hrs. After that blend them in a jar and make a thick paste. Add red and green chillie and blend once again to make a fine batter. (If required use water).

Transfer the batter into a large bowl and add curry leaves, chopped onion, coriander leaves, salt and baking soda mix well.

Heat oil in a pan, apply water in both hands take out small portion of batter, and slowly put them in the oil. Deep fry till they brown, and serve with any chutney or sambar.
