Ingredients

40 minutes
4 servings
  • 1/2 cuparhar dal
  • 1/4 cupchana dal
  • 1/4 cupmasoor dal
  • 1chopped onion
  • 1finely chopped tomato
  • 1chopped green chilli
  • 1/2 tablespoonred chilli powder
  • 1/4 tablespoonturmeric powder
  • 2 1/2 cup+1 cup water
  • 2 tablespoonoil
  • to tastesalt
  • 2 tablespoonchopped coriander
  • for tempering
  • 1/2 tablespooncumin seeds
  • 1dry red chilli
  • 2 pinchasafoetida
  • 2 tablespoonghee

Steps

40 minutes
  1. 1

    Rinse arhar dal, chana dal,masoor dal in water and add them into pressure cooker. add 2 cup water salt and pressure cook for 4 whistles over medium flam. and turn off the gas. and rest it for 10 minutes.

    Take a pan and heat oil than add chopped onion and saute until ir turns light brown and add chopped green chilli and saute for 30 second and add chopped tomato and saute until it truns soft and add turmeric powder, red chilli powder and cooked dal and mix and last add water and salt as per taste. and cook it for 10 minutes. turn off the gas and transfer into a serving bowl.

    At last take a pan and heat ghee and add cumin seeds and allow them to sizzle.now add dry red chilli and asafoetida mix well.

    Remove pan from flame and pour prepared tempering over cooked dal in a bowl and garnish it with chopped coriander leaves.
