Pull Apart Garlic Bread

I used my ‘1-Hour Focaccia’ recipe to make this ‘Pull Apart Garlic Bread’, so this yummy bread can be made in 1 hour. To achieve the crusty bottom of the bread, you’d better use a cake tin or a baking tin. The ceramic pie dish like this one in the photo looks nice but the bottom of the bread won’t get crusty in 10 minutes.

Steps

  1. 1

Place Warm Water, Dry Yeast and Sugar in a bowl, mix gently and set aside.

  2. 2

Place Bread Flour, Baking Powder and Salt in a large bowl, and mix to combine. Make a well in the centre and pour in the yeast mixture and Olive Oil. Mix well to form a soft dough. Knead for 2 to 3 minutes, adding extra flour if required, until smooth and elastic.

  3. 3

In a small bowl, mix softened Butter, Garlic and Herb Mix. Save 1 tablespoonful for glazing.

  4. 4

Divide the dough into 4-5cm balls, coat them with the garlic butter and place evenly in a baking dish or a tin. Cover with plastic wrap and set aside in a warm place for 30-40 minutes. Preheat oven to 200℃.

  5. 5

Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden. Spread the remaining garlic butter all over, sprinkle with some chopped Parsley, and enjoy.

Australia also use metric and our cup is 250ml. My tablespoon is 15ml and teaspoon is 5ml. My measurement is same as UK.
