Dry roast all the ingredients listed below ingredients for powder. cool it and make powder of it. store in air tight container. can store for 2-3 months.

Cut tomatoes and boil in water with salt

After tomatoes are cook take off the flame and put tamarind in it and keep for cooling. mash the tomatoes and tamarind to extract juice.

Heat oil in a pan add mustard, jeera and garlic saute garlic changes colour add curry leaf.

Pour tomato and tamarind water add turmeric let it boil

Add salt and water as required.

When it starts boiling add 2 table spoon of power and take it off from flame.

Do not boil after adding powder resampling looses taste. do not reheat rasam.

Enjoy with rice or can simply have like soup.
