Steps

Take maida in a bowl. Add ghee. Mix it well with the help of your palms. Add baking powder, sugar, salt and some water to make a tight dough. Cover the dough and keep it aside for 20-25 minutes.

Divide the dough into two parts. Make a chapati out of one dough. Put the chapati into the pie mold and press with a fork. Put some chana dal on it and back it with 180° for 15 minutes. Keep aside to cool by removing the chana dal from it.

Heat ghee on a pan. Add grated apple, sugar, cinnamom powder and cardamom powder. Saute for 2 minutes. Add breadcrumbs and remove it from the flame.

Put the apple stuffing into the mold. Take the other dough and make another chapati. Cut it into long strips as shown. Cover the mold with these strips crosswise as shown.

Now bake it with 180° for 15 minutes. Thus ready is the apple pie. Serve topped with whipped cream or ice cream after cooling.
