It is a very delicious and popular dish prepared almost in all households of Odisha. It goes good either with rice or with roti/paratha.
Steps

Peel and boil the potatoes, cut into small chunks and keep aside.

Cut the parwals into small cubes or as shown and wash them well.

Heat oil in a pan. Fry the diced parwals until brown. Once browned, remove and keep them aside.

In the same pan add a little more oil. Add chopped onion and fry until brown. Add chilli powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder and salt. Saute for a while and then add onion paste, ginger garlic paste, chopped tomato and saute till raw smell disappears.

Add cashewnut paste and cook for a while.

Now add the boiled potatoes and fried parwals to it and stir thoroughly till masala coats the veggies well.

Pour 1/2 cup water into the mixture. Cover and cook till gravy becomes thick.

Then sprinkle garam masala powder and chopped coriander leaves onto it. Switch off the flame n keep closed for 5 minutes.

Serve hot with rice or roti.
