Place the rice and oil in a skillet over medium heat for about 2 minutes, just until the rice turns translucent.

Add the butter and onion, and stir for about 2 minutes, just until the onion softens.

Add the water, corn, and salt. Stir well. Cover the skillet.

Once it starts to boil, reduce the heat and cook for 20 minutes.

Done! This is perfect as a side for fish, for example.
