Ingredients

2 servings
  1. 500 gmspinach chopped
  2. 1/2brinjal cut into small cubes
  3. 1dry red chilli
  4. 1 teaspoonkalaunji/ nigella seeds
  5. 3green chillies
  6. 10bori/ lentil dumplings
  7. 1/2 teaspoonturmeric
  8. to tasteSalt
  9. to tasteSugar
  10. as neededMustard oil

  1. 1

    Heat some mustard oil in a pan, and add the bori (or lentil dumplings). Fry them till brown and keep it aside.

  2. 2

    Add the kalaunji and dry red chilli and saute them till the aroma comes out.

  3. 3

    Add the brinjals, the turmeric powder, some salt as per the brinjals and the green chillies.

  4. 4

    Fry them till golden brown.

  5. 5

    Add the spinach. Mix them well and cover it with a lid for approx 5 minutes.

  6. 6

    Uncover the lid and fry them in a high flame. Add some salt if required and some sugar. Let it be a bit sweetish.

  7. 7

    Fry them till the moisture dissapears.

  8. 8

    Break the boris/ lentil dumplings with your hand and add them in it. Switch of the flame. Mix them well and serve hot with steamed rice.
