Steps

Clean and rinse off the chicken pieces. Then marinate the chicken with salt and keep them in the fridge for atleast 2 hours.

Cut all the vegetables roughly. Crush the whole spices like cardamom, cinnamon, cloves and large cardamom. It will enhance the flavour of the soup.

In the kadai heat oil and butter and add bay leaves, dry red chilies and crushed spices and fry for 40 seconds. Then add the chicken drumsticks. Fry the chicken for 2 minutes. Then turn over the chicken and again fry for 2-3 minutes. If you want more fried then fry for another 2-3 minutes. The flame should be high. The chicken will become very juicy.

Then add ginger-garlic, onion and green chilies and fry for 2 minutes. Add salt to taste. Then add carrot and fry for one minute. Then add water as required. Also add frozen sweet corn and tomato. Cover the kadai with a lid and cook for 5-7 minutes.

Then open the lid and add rest of the vegetables and cover again and cook for another 5 minutes. The flame should be medium to high.

After 5 minutes open the lid and check whether the vegetables are tendered and chicken is cooked. Switch off the flame. Serve it hot in the bowl and sprinkle some black pepper. Enjoy the soup with bread.
