Grind the parched rice in a grinder to make fine dust. Keep aside.

Grind the cardamom pods into powder.

Put the jaggery into a deep based pan on flame adding little water. Allow to boil.

As the jaggery mix thickens add the grinded parched rice dust in it.Add cardamom powder stirring constantly till the mixture becomes tight enough to form a dough.

Remove from the flame, allow the dough to cool.
- 6
Take out portions of the dough and make them flat in the shape of cakes by hand. Sprinkle the remaining parched rice dust on the top.
