Ingredients

40 minutes
4 to 5 servings
  1. 2 kilogramcarrot
  2. 200 gramcondensed milk
  3. 250 mlfresh milk
  4. 150 gram or moresugar
  5. 50 gramcashew nut
  6. 50 grampistachios
  7. 50 gramalmonds
  8. 50 gramraisins
  9. 150 gramdesi ghee
  10. 2 tspcardamom powder

Cooking Instructions

40 minutes
  1. 1

First of all wash all the carrots gently.Grate all the carrots in a bowl with a grater.Heat 3 tbsp desi ghee in a pan and roast all the dry fruits (do not roast raisins) Keep the roasted dry fruits aside. Now add all the grated carrots into the leftover oil of the pan.

  2. 2

Cook it for atleast 10 to 15 minutes until it turns dry (all the water gets evaporated) totally. Then add milk and  condensed milk and mix well. You can add both milk as well as condensed milk for better taste or you can skip milk.I am using both Now again cook it on a high flame until it will get dry (evaporated).

  3. 3

Now add the most important thing sugar (150 grams or more)  which is the major ingredient for any sweet dish. If you are a diabetic patient then you should to use sugar free. Now add roasted dry fruits as well and mix all this properly.

  4. 4

Let the sugar to be melt properly After 5 minutes put off the gas flame and add 2 tsp of cardamom powder into it.It will enhance the smell of the halwa. Now your halwa is ready Serve it hot or you can serve it cool by keeping it into a refrigerator for 1 to 2 hours
