Comforting Winter Bicerin

#winter
Nothing is more comforting in winter than sipping your favourite hot drink while relaxing or reading a margarine on your easy chair. So here I present to you my favourite and my kids crazily loveable drink Bicerin.
Bicerin is a traditional hot drink native to Turin, Italy, made of espresso, drinking chocolate, and whole milk served layered in a small rounded glass.
I used whipping cream on top to make the drink creamier and yummier. This drink is not only kids favourite but we adults will enjoy too.

Steps
- 1
Prepare strong coffee by heating 1/2 cup water and add coffee powder, let the coffee powder dissolve, remove from flame and set it aside.
- 2
Prepare hot chocolate, heat fresh cream and full fat milk in a pan and add chopped chocolates. Once the chocolate starts to dissolve, switch off flame and whisk the mixture till chocolate melts completely. Hot chocolate is ready, set this aside
- 3
Whisk your whipping cream a little so that it's thick. You can easily replace whipping cream with more fresh cream, only add 2 drops of vanilla essence and 2 teaspoons of castor sugar and whisk well for smooth creamy texture.
- 4
Assembling the drink, in a clean glass pour half of your chocolate drink.
- 5
Using back of a spoon pour gently the coffee drink over the hot chocolate. This ensure the layers do not mix before serving.
- 6
Now repeat the process with the whipping cream. Pour over the coffee mixture.
- 7
Top with chocolate shavings. Decorate the serving plate as you like. I used cocoa powder and a kitchen spoon to make this design.
- 8
Repeat with another serving. This recipe yields 2 glasses of this drink. You can see all the three layers, cream, coffee then hot chocolate.
- 9
Serve it with a spoon to mix the layers. Do give it a try, you will like it for sure.
