Soak both daala for 2 hours.Then add salt and turmeric powder and give 2 whistles in cooker.After the steam is released add 1 tsp sambhar powder and mix it very well.

Now add oil in a pan,allow it to hear add mustard and cumin seeds then add onion and green chillies once it gets soft add sambhar masala and mix well.

Then add potato and tomato then add turmeric powder and salt and mix it nicely.Allow it to boil thoroughly.Once done add coriander leaves and switch off the flame.
