Akki Roti (Rice Roti) is very popular in Coorg or Madikeri region of Karnataka. This roti is prepared using leftover rice, rice flour and salt. As they are bland, you have to eat them with a spicy curry or chutney.

Ingredients

  1. 2 cupsCooked Rice
  2. 1 cupRice Flour
  3. 1/8 cupCarrots, grated
  4. 1 cupCoriander leaves
  5. To tasteSalt
  6. 1 tbspOil

Cooking Instructions

    Add rice flour to a large bowl along with salt, cooked rice, chopped coriander leaves and carrots. Mix everything well.

    Knead the dough with hot water. Keep it covered for a while.

  3. 3

    Now take a small ball of dough and start patting over oiled plastic sheet or banana leaf.

    Grease the tava with oil and gently drop the roti over the hot griddle.

  5. 5

    Furthermore, smear some oil over the rotti and cook on medium flame. flip over and cook both sides. Serve it with any curry of your choice.
