Ingredients

20 mins
6 servings
  1. 200 gchocolate, black, broken into pieces
  2. 100 gbutter, cubed
  3. 100 gsugar
  4. 4 eggs
  5. 4 tablespoonsflour
  6. 1 teaspoonvanilla extract

Cooking Instructions

20 mins
  1. 1

Preheat the oven to 180 C

  2. 2

Place the chocolate pieces and the butter in a small saucepan. Place the sauce pan inside another bigger saucepan with simmering water. Stir often until chocolate and butter are melt and blended. Do not overcook. Let cool aside.

  3. 3

Separate the egg yolks from the egg whites. Reserve the egg yolks. Beat the egg whites with vanilla until they rise and become foamy.

  4. 4

Transfer the chocolate and butter mix to a bowl, stir in the egg yolks and beat well.

  5. 5

Then add in the sugar and flour and keep on mixing until smooth.

  6. 6

Slowly incorporate the egg white into the chocolate mixture until firm.

  7. 7

Brush with butter the bottom and sides of a baking pan. Then sprinkle with flour all over.

  8. 8

Pour the chocolate mixture into the greased baking pan and bake in the oven for 20 minutes. Make sure not to overcook; the inside of the cake should be warm and moist.

  9. 9

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream on the side.

I am really passionate about my studies. I also love shopping, reading, visiting art galleries… and cooking. I began cooking on my own when I first moved to England. Restaurants here are very expensive. So when I want to eat I usually cook at home with my roommate. She is Italian so I have learned from her how to cook a few Italian dishes and taught her in return some of our Lebanese treasures! I am reaaally into French cuisine and especially the classics, onion soup, gratin dauphinois, ect. I have subscribed to a French cooking magazine to learn how to cook them properly. I try to get my ingredients from the street markets so they are fresh and yummy!!!!My friends love to eat my Lebanese dishes now they are also loving the French new chef in me :) Hope you will like it too.I look forward for your comments :) Dishes I am famous for: Lebanese chicken with rice, crème brulee, gratin dauphinois
