An Iraqi recipe for crunchy cookies flavored with cardamom. Decorate each piece with an almond then bake.
Steps

Preheat oven to 350 F.

In a bowl soften the butter. Add in the sugar and mix until well blended.

Slowly mix in the flour, cardamom and salt and knead into a dough.

Divide the dough into small equal balls and form them into flat circular cookies.

Put an almond half on top of each cookie.
- 6
Bake them in a greased baking pan for 20 minutes.

Remove from oven and let cool before storing in an airtight container.
