Ingredients

  1. 2.2 poundsbeef (I used round steak)
  2. 1 headbroccoli (washed and cleaned)
  3. 2carrots, thinly sliced
  4. 1onion, sliced into half-moons
  5. 2small zucchini
  6. 1 cupwater (240 ml)
  7. 2 tablespoonscornstarch (Maizena)
  8. Soy sauce
  9. Oyster sauce (optional)
  10. Garlic salt and black pepper
  11. Oil

Steps

  1. 1

    In a skillet, cook the beef with a little oil. Season with garlic salt, salt, and pepper to taste. Add 1 tablespoon oyster sauce and 2 tablespoons soy sauce (if you don't have oyster sauce, use 3 tablespoons soy sauce).

  2. 2

    Once the beef is cooked, add the vegetables and stir for about five minutes. Cover and let them steam. (You can add the broccoli at the last minute since it cooks quickly.)

    When it starts boiling, gradually add the water mixed with cornstarch, stirring until it reaches your desired thickness (keep over medium heat).

  4. 4

    Serve with Chinese-style rice and some fried yellow peppers with lime, salt, and pepper.
