A great cooking technique for Italian sausages. By using vegetables underneath the sausage, it cooks perfectly without having to prop it up on a baking rack. You end up with delicious veggies to throw on top of your hot dogs as well!!

Ingredients

35 mins
2 servings
  1. 3-6Italian Sausage
  2. 1/2of a White Onion
  3. 1/2of a Green Pepper (or any other colored Bell Pepper)
  4. seasoning salt (not necessary)
  5. 2 tablespoonsOlive Oil

Cooking Instructions

35 mins
  1. 1

First, slice your vegetables into strips and like the bottom of a greased baking dish with the chopped vegetables. Pour your olive oil evenly over top of vegetables. Sprinkle on seasoning salt if you'd like.

  2. 2

Preheat your oven to 400 degrees. Add Italian sausages over top of vegetables (poking each one with a fork once) making sure there's enough room so the sausages aren't touching one another.

  3. 3

Bake for 20 minutes on 400 degrees, making sure to cut one open afterwards to check for doneness. Remove sausages from the pan, and either pick out all the veggies from the juices that have collected, or pour it all out through a strainer to catch your vegetables. Enjoy!

Food may not look very appealing but i go for taste over looks, every recipe photo i have listed was eaten shortly after (or during) its photo. Hope you all enjoy the recipes! I try to leave out as much sodium as possible in my recipes so you'll rarely see any salt listed, of course it can be added to pretty much anything to add some more flavor.
