Ingredients

  1. 1 3/4 poundssnakehead fish
  2. 5cherry tomatoes
  3. 4 tablespoonstamarind juice
  4. 3 tablespoonsfish sauce
  5. 1/2 teaspoonsalt
  6. Tom Yum ingredients: galangal, lemongrass, kaffir lime leaves, sawtooth coriander, roasted shallots, roasted garlic, roasted dried chilies

Steps

  1. 1

    Cut the fish into pieces and wash thoroughly. Set aside to drain.

  2. 2

    Bring water to a boil in a pot with galangal, lemongrass, and salt. Add the fish and cover until cooked. Add tomatoes, fish sauce, tamarind juice, and lightly crushed roasted shallots and garlic. Taste for a sour flavor. Once boiling again, add kaffir lime leaves, sawtooth coriander, and roasted dried chilies. Turn off the heat and serve.
