Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 lbsgold potatoes peeled and diced into pieces larger than 1”
  • 6 stripsuncooked bacon, cut into small pieces
  • 3 Tbspbutter
  • 1/3 cupall purpose flour
  • 1Med yellow onion, chopped
  • 3large garlic cloves minced
  • 4 cupschicken broth
  • 2 cupsmilk
  • 2/3 cupheavy cream
  • 1 1/2 tspsalt
  • 1 tspground pepper
  • 1/4-1/2 tspancho chili powder
  • 2/3 cupsour cream
  • Shredded cheddar cheese, chives, additional sour cream, and bacon for toppings optional
