Soak rice for 30 mins in water.

Put a pan on high flame and add the water in it.

Add the soaked rice, kesar, all the whole spices and cook it until the water starts boiling.

Cover and cook on medium heat now.

After 5 mins add the desi ghee, sugar and dry fruits. Mix well.

Cover and cook till all the water evaporates and there is a shine on the rice.

Let it rest for 15 mins before serving. Make sure the flame is turned off now.
