Ingredients

  1. 1/2 kgbottle gourd peeled and chopped
  2. 2tomatoes chopped
  3. 1 tsp each ginger and garlic chopped
  4. 2 tbspCoriander leaves chopped
  5. 2medium sized onion chopped
  6. 1-2green chillies chopped
  7. 1/2 tspRed chilli powder
  8. 1/4 tspturmeric 1/2 tsp coriander powder
  9. 1 tspGaram masala or pav bhaji masala
  10. 1/2 Lemon optional
  11. 1/4 cupFrozen or fresh green peas
  12. 2 tbspOil

Cooking Instructions

    First peel and cut doodhi into cubes please note seeds should be removed and pressure cooker by adding 1 cup water and salt for 2-3 whistles and mash with potatoes masher little chunks will be shown

    Now heat oil in a pan add chopped onion and fry till pinkish colour,add ginger and garlic till nice aroma comes add tomatoes and cook for 2 minutes by covering the lid now add green peas and saute well

    Add all dry spices,salt and stir for seconds now add lauki and cook well for 2 minutes on a low flame add coriander leaves add garam masala or pav bhaji masala lastly if you like lemon add it. Serve hot with parantha naan and tandoori roti.
