Ingredients

  1. 2 cupbottle gourd grated
  2. 1/2 tspginger paste
  3. 1/4 cupsemolina
  4. 1 cupgram flour
  5. 3/4 tspkashmiri red chilli powder
  6. 1/2 tspcoriander powder
  7. 1/4 tspcumin powder
  8. 1/4 tspcarom seeds
  9. 1 pinchasafoetida
  10. 1/2 tspsalt
  11. 1chilli finely chopped
  12. 2 tbspcoriander finely chopped
  13. 1 tbspcurd
  14. 1 tbspoil
  15. for tempering:
  16. 2 tbspoil
  17. 1 tspmustard
  18. 2 tspsesame seeds
  19. few curry leaves
  20. 1 tbspcoconut grated
  21. 1 tbspcoriander chopped

Cooking Instructions

    In a large mixing bowl take all the ingredients listed for muthiya and knead the dough well.

    Make cylindrical shape or small pieces as you like
    Keep the steamer ready
    I steam muthiya in Idli maker
    cover and steam for 20 minutes or till done.

    For tempering

    Take a wok, heat 2 tbsp oil and add mustard seeds.

    When they splutter add in sliced muthiya and mix well.

    Stir them with a big laddle or toss nicely.

  5. 5

    Add sesame seeds, grated coconut and coriander leaves and mix gently.

  6. 6

    Enjoy hot.
