Ingredients

  1. 10-12Pumpkin flowers
  2. 4 tsprice (soaked for 20-30 mins.)
  3. 1dry red chilli
  4. 3-4garlic cloves
  5. 2green chillies
  6. 1/2 teaspooncumin seeds (Jeera)
  7. 1 pinchturmeric powder (Haldi)
  8. to tasteSalt
  9. As neededWater
  10. as neededOil (for shallow fry)

Cooking Instructions

    Firstly soak the rice for 20-30 mins.

    Meanwhile, cut out the lower part of the flower. Clean the flowers and pat dry on napkin. Keep aside.

    Then take a blander jar, add soaked rice, garlic, green chillies, red chilli and cumin seeds in it and blend it. Make a smooth batter of medium consistency.

    Add some salt and turmeric powder in the batter and mix it well.

    Then take a pan and heat some oil on medium flame.

  6. 6

    Take one flower, dip it into the batter and place it on the pan. Repeat the process.

    Cook it till crisp on one side then flip it and cook the other side too. Fry until both sides are crisp.

    Odiya style pumpkin flower fritters are ready😀 You can have it with rice daal or it can be served at tea time.
