Soft Maize - boiled #4weekschallenge#authormarathon#
Discovered that, it is better to cook them with the "covers" on (what are they called?) than without, keeps them soft and also prevents them from drying up / becoming hard.
Steps
- 1
Either remove the "cover" from the maize, or leave them on. Arrange them well the big ones down and the small ones on top, in a cooking pot, the pot made from clay.
- 2
Add some water enough to cook the maize, sprinkle some salt and cover.
- 3
Cook them till soft. Serve with a cup of black tea (add rosemary, cardamon and lemon grass to taste) called Sturungi aka Strong tea. After munching all the maize seeds, please remember to suck all the salty water from the maize cob before you throw it away...😆😆😆. Enjoy!
