Ingredients

  • 2 cupsBasmati Rice
  • 2 bunchesSpring onions
  • 2Carrots
  • 12Beans
  • 100 gCabbage
  • 1Capsicum (bell pepper)
  • 1/2 cupPeas
  • 7Green chillies
  • 1 tspPepper powder
  • 3 tbspGarlic paste
  • 2 tspGinger paste
  • 4-5 tbspOil
  • 6Long variety Green chillies (cut into thin round pieces)
  • 1 cupPlain Vinegar
  • to tasteSalt

Steps

  1. 1

    Cook two cups rice with 4 cups water.
    Allow to cool.

  2. 2

    Cut the vegetables into thin and long even sized pieces.
    Heat oil in a broad frying pan and fry green chillies.

  3. 3

    Add the ginger-garlic paste and carrots, beans, cabbage, capsicum, peas and spring onions in that order.

  4. 4

    Add salt and pepper powder and fry on high flame for a few minutes.

  5. 5

    Add cooked rice and fry for a few minutes. Keep aside.

  6. 6

    Serve hot with vinegar that has chopped chillies mixed in it.

  7. 7

    If you are Eggetarian, then you can also add scramble egg in the rice.
