Ingredients

1-2serving
  • 1/2 tspsalt
  • 2 tspbutter
  • 4-5curry leaves
  • 1/4th tsp mustard
  • 1/4th tsp chilli powder or idli podi powder
  • 1medium sized onion
  • 1medium sized tomato
  • 1green chilli(can avoid it) or add some chopped capsicums instead green chillies
  • 4idlis

Steps

  1. 1

    Put a pan on gas,let it hot,then put butter on hot pan,put mustards and curry leaves,green chillies to it and let it crackle.

    Add onions,chilli powder or idli podi powder,a little salt to it,saute for 1-2 mins then add small cut idlis to it,fry them for 2-3 mins,then add chopped tomatoes and salt to it..and fry them till the tomatoes become succulent,it adds a good red,spicy colour to the idli. Then serve the idlis in a plate and enjoy.
