Grease a cake pan, line with baking paper and set aside, preheat oven to 180 degrees celsius.

In a large bowl beat butter, sugar, salt and orange rind until fluffy, add eggs one at a time and continue beating until well incorporated, stir in sifted flour, cinnamon, coconut, ground almonds, 1/4 cup juice and wine, spread mixture in prepared cake pan, sprinkle almond flakes and bake for 45 minutes, pour remaining orange syrup over hot cake, cool in pan. Serve with fresh orange slices.

You could make an orange syrup by combining 1cup of sugar with orange juice, stir on low heat until sugar has desolved, boil 5 minutes without stirring until slightly thickened, and pour over hot cake. I personally try to reduce sugar intake and hence directly use the fresh juice.
