Soak rice and dal separately for 6 hrs. In the rice add few methi seeds also. Then grind to a fine paste. Keep for fermentation. Chop onions, green chillies tomatoes and coriander leaves. Add salt, red chilli powder.

Now take the batter. Heat a tawa, take a tbsp of batter and spread on the tawa. Now sprinkle the onions mixture. Cover and cook till done. Flip on the other side, add butter/ghee.

Serve immediately with chutney. Chutney not in pic.
