Firstly, sprinkle 2 tbsp cornstarch on the paneer and give it a toss to coat it evenly. Let the paneer rest in the fridge for 10 to 15 minutes.

Combine maida, cornstarch, salt, black pepper powder and ginger-garlic paste in a bowl. Give it a mix.

Add water and whisk well to make a thick batter.

Dip the paneer pieces in the batter and drop the paneer pieces in the hot oil. Turn the heat to low and fry them till they turn golden and crisp.

Drain the fried paneer and take it out onto a plate, Set it aside.

Now to make the sauce, heat oil in a non stick pan on high flame. Now add in the spring onion and saute it for a minute.
Add the ginger and garlic, along with green chilies. Let them Saute for a few seconds. - 7
After sauteing them, add cubed onions saute for a minute and then add cubed capsicum and bell peppers and saute for another minute. (Do not overcook the veggies.)

Now add salt along with black pepper powder and ajinomoto. Mix it.
Then add vinegar, soya sauce, and chilli sauce. Give it a quick mix. - 9
Add the cornstarch slurry and mix. Bring the sauce to a boil.
When it thickens, turn the heat off.
Add the fried paneer cubes and toss them once.
Garish with green spring onion. - 10
Chilli paneer recipe is ready. Serve hot. Enjoy!
