Ingredients

30 minutes
2-3 servings
  1. 1 cupRice
  2. 3/4 cupToor dal
  3. 1/2Moong dal
  4. 2Potatoes chopped
  5. 1Carrot chopped
  6. 4 tbspBishibele Bhat Masala(I used MTR)
  7. 4 cupWater
  8. 5-6Curry leaves
  9. 1 tspAsafoetida
  10. 1 tspCumin
  11. 2 tspChilli powder
  12. 1 tspSugar
  13. To tasteSalt

Cooking Instructions

    Now add water and cook it well.It will take around 15-20 minutes.

    In a cooker heat oil and add asafoetida, Cumin, curry leaves.Now add chopped potatoes and carrots fry for 2 minutes. Now add Toor dal, moong dal fry it for 2 minutes. Now add chilli powder, MTR Bishibele Bhat Masala, tamarind pulp, sugar,salt and mix it well. Now add rice and again fry for 2 minutes.

    Now add water and cook well. It will take around 20 minutes.

    Switch off the flame, don't remove cover suddenly. Allow few minutes to set.

    Serve it hot with Ghee and Onion riata.
