Ingredients

Serves 6 servings
  • 12 ozred mulberries (about 350 grams)
  • 3 1/3 cupsice (about 500 grams)
  • 1 1/4 cupspowdered sugar (about 150 grams)
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 cupwhipped cream (about 250 ml, optional)

Steps

    Gently clean the mulberries, being careful not to break them. Drain them, place them in a bowl, and freeze them.

    Once frozen, put them in a blender (make sure it can crush ice) along with the ice, lemon juice, and powdered sugar. Blend for a few seconds until you get a slushy texture. Serve your granita immediately, optionally topped with some whipped cream.

    If you want to store the mulberry granita, transfer it to a shallow rectangular container. Place it in the freezer, stirring every 30 minutes for a couple of hours. This will help prevent it from becoming too icy.
