Ingredients

  1. For the meat
  2. 500 gminced meat
  3. 2onions, finely chopped
  4. 1 cupparsley, finely chopped
  5. 3garlic cloves, crushed
  6. 1/2 teaspoonwhite peoper
  7. 1 teaspooncumin
  8. 1 teaspoonpomegranate molasses (optional)
  9. Black pepper
  10. 1/4 teaspooncinnamon
  11. 1/4 teaspoonground allspice
  12. For the sauce
  13. 1/2 cupyogurt
  14. 1.5 cuptahini (sesame paste)
  15. 1garlic clove, crushed
  16. 1/2lemon juice
  17. to taste Salt
  18. Pinchcumin
  19. For garnishing
  20. 1 tablespoonbutter
  21. Handfulchopped parsley
  22. Pine nuts

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Mix all the meat ingredients together until you get the texture of a dough

  2. 2

    Spread the meat evenly in a baking tray

  3. 3

    Put the tray in a preheated oven at 200c for around 15 mins (until the meat in cooked)

  4. 4

    In a separate bowl, mix all the sauce ingredients with a blender until you get a smooth mixture (not too thick, not too runny)

  5. 5

    When the meat is cooked, spread the sauce on top of it (make sure you cover all the surface) and then put it back in the over for ~10 minutes (don’t let it dry)

  6. 6

    Once the meat is ready with the sauce, melt the butter in a pan and fry with it the pine nuts until they’re gold

  7. 7

    Pour the melted butter on top on the sauce and garnish with parsley.
