Not only does beet render a beautiful pink hue in whichever dish it's added, it's packed with nutrients, happens to be a super food, and is also one of my all time favorite vegetables.

Ive experimented a lot with beets, and this just happens to be one of them. A delicious beetroot burger, that can give it's non-vegetarian counterpart, a run for it's money.

Ingredients

  1. 1sesame burger bun
  2. 2 tspmayonnaise (I used vegan mayo)
  3. 3-4tomato slices
  4. 2-3 onion slicee
  5. 2-3lettuce leaves
  6. 1 tspolive oil (to toast the burger buns)
  7. As neededOil to deep fry
  8. For the patty
  9. 1medium boiled potato
  10. 1grated beetroot
  11. 1/4 cupbread crumbs
  12. to tasteSalt
  13. 1/2 tspblack Pepper powder
  14. 1/2 tsppaprika

Cooking Instructions

    Mix all the ingredients of the patty in a bowl. Make sure that all the ingredients are at room temperature.

    Apply some oil on your palms and make a patty of the potato mix. NOTE: This recipe is for a big patty. You can make 2 regular size burger patties with the same.

    Deep fry till golden and crisp on the outside.

    Toast the sesame buns on a griddle pan.

  5. 5

    Assemble the burger together by placing lettuce, tomato, onion and patty on the bun. Apply mayo and serve hot!
