Pao Bhaji lovers Heat like💕
Because of lockdown, I was missing my days of eating this spicy bhaji on streets with running nose and loads of flavour in mouth😋
So,
Made this today with only 3 veggies and without onion as my pantry ran out of it today🤍
I had no idea that without onion I could match exactly that street flavour pao bhaji with few expert tricks by my Mom😍 So sharing my recipe with you.

Ingredients

3 people
  1. 4Tomatoes
  2. 1/2Green Capsicum
  3. 10Garlic cloves
  4. 1boiled potato (mashed)
  5. 2dry red chilli
  6. 1/2 tspKashmiri red chilli powder
  7. 1 Tbsppav bhaji masala
  8. 1/2 TspSalt
  9. as neededoil
  10. as neededwater
  11. 1 TspLemon juice
  12. 2 tspCoriander leaves
  13. 2 Tbspyellow butter
  14. 1 tspCream

Cooking Instructions

    Soak dried red chillies in warm water for half an hour. Then blend them along with garlic and little water in a blender jar to make smooth chilli paste.

    Now take iron wok only. Iron wok brings out exact street flavour in the bhaji. Heat 2 tbsp butter.

    Add chilli paste and cook for 2 minutes.

    Now add very finely chopped tomatoes and capsicum. Add 1 tsp salt. Mix nicely. Cover with lid and let it cook at low flame for 3 minutes.

    After 3 minutes, uncover and start mashing the material in wok for 1 minute.

    Now add pao bhaji masala and kashmiri red chilli powder and stir for another 2 minutes. Now add mashed potato and mix nicely. Stir for another 2 minutes by covering from lid.

    Now uncover and add around 1.5 cups water. Bring to boil.

    After a boil, simmer with lid at low flame for another 3 minutes.

    Add coriander leaves and cream. Mix and stir for a minute.

  10. 10

    Switch off gas and squeeze 1/4th lemon juice. Mix and garnish with more fresh coriander and enjoy with pao cooked in butter😋
