Ingredients

  1. 3 1/2 cupsflour
  2. 5 tbspsugar
  3. 2 tspyeast
  4. 1/4 tspbaking powder
  5. 1 tspcardamon or cinnamon or both
  6. 1 tbspmargarine (optional)
  7. 1 1/4 cupmilk or thick creamy coconut milk

Cooking Instructions

    Mix flour n baking powder then rub in margarine

    In a clean bowl mix cardamom,yeast,cinnamon, sugar n part of milk.Stir until the yeast n sugar melts

    Pour that mixture into the flour bit by bit as you knead if not enough add the remaining milk.

    Knead until the dough becomes soft but not sticky n cover it for 30 minutes to one hour

    After an hour,form small balls as you cover them with flour around 8 to 10 balls.

    Start rolling them into circular form around ¼inch,cut it into half then quarter.Do the same to all the balls as you arrange them into a big floured lid.

    In a frying pan,add your oil heat it until it becomes hot oil,then start deep frying your mahamri.

    Repeat the above for the rest quarters.Serve it with hot tea or chocolate
