Ingredients

  1. for Dhuska
  2. 2 cupsChana Dal
  3. 1 cuprice
  4. 3-4green chillies chopped
  5. 1” ginger chopped fine
  6. 2-3garlic cloves chopped fine
  7. 1medium sized onion chopped fine
  8. 1/2 tspturmeric powder
  9. 1 tspred chilli powder
  10. 1 sprigcoriander leaves chopped fine
  11. 3/4 cupwater
  12. 1/2 cupoil to fry
  13. As per taste Salt
  14. ForRasa Aloo
  15. 2-3big potatoes washed, boiled, peeled and cut into 1” pieces
  16. 1 tspginger paste
  17. 1 tspred chilli powder
  18. 1/2 tspturmeric powder
  19. 1/2 tspasafoetida
  20. 1/2 tspcumin seeds
  21. 1/2 tspcoriander powder
  22. 2-3green chillies chopped
  23. Sprigcoriander leaves chopped
  24. as per tasteSalt
  25. 3 Tbspmustard oil

Cooking Instructions

    Fur Dhuska - Soak Rice & Chana Dal separately overnight. Strain and put in a blender alongwith ginger, green chillies, garlic, water and blend well. Consistency should be semi thick, once done add onion, coriander, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, salt and beat well.

    In a wok heat oil and on medium flame put a ladle of the batter and fry. Flip the other side after a minute, fry golden in colour. The centre should swell. Dhuska is done, set aside.

    For Aloo rasa- Boil potatoes and cool, peel and make 1” cut sizes. In a wok heat oil, add asafoetida, cumin seeds and when splutters add potatoes. Stir for 2-3 mins, add coriander powder, ginger paste, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, chopped green chillies and stir well.

    Add water and add salt, stir well. Add coriander leaves chopped and once a semi thick consistency is reached dey aside.

    Plate and enjoy hot Dhuska
