Ingredients

50 minutes
  1. 2 cupsall purpose flour
  2. 2 cupssugar
  3. 1 tspsalt
  4. 1 1/2 tspvanilla essence
  5. 2eggs
  6. 1 cupbuttermilk
  7. 1 cupvegetable oil
  8. 3/4 cupunsweetened cocoa powder
  9. 1 tspbaking soda
  10. 1 tspbaking powder
  11. 1 cupboiling water

    Prepare your baking tin by greasing and placing a baking paper

    Preheat the oven to 180°.

  3. 3

    In a bowl, sieve and put the dry ingredients, whisk.Add the buttermilk, vegetable oil, eggs and mix with a whisk or mixer.

    In boiling water, add the vanilla essence, mix and add to the chocolate batter and whisk till it has a light consistency.

    Pour the mixture into the baking tin and bake for 50 minutes at 180°.

    Cool in a rack and frost as you desire.
