Ingredients

  1. For outer layer
  2. 2 cupsmaida
  3. 2 tbspghee
  4. Water as required to knead the dough
  5. For stuffing
  6. 1-2 tbspghee
  7. 1/2 cuprawa/sooji
  8. 1/4 cupdessicated coconut
  9. 1 tspcardamom powder
  10. 1/2 tspjaiphal powder
  11. 2-3 tbspdry fruits - almonds, cashews, pistachios
  12. 3/4 cuppowder sugar
  13. Oil for frying

Cooking Instructions

    Knead the dough with the ingredients mentioned. Allow the dough to rest for 20 minutes.

    Dry roast rawa, dessicated coconut till aromatic. Add cardamom powder, jaiphal powder and dry fruits chopped finely.

    Now make balls, roll it, stuff the filling, apply water on the sides, cover it and press it tightly. Deep fry in batches

    Your yummy crispy gujiya's are ready.
