Ingredients

5 (3 each)
  1. 5 1/2 cupsall-purpose flour
  2. 2 1/2atta mark flour
  3. 3 cupswarm water
  4. 1 tbspsalt
  5. 2 tbspsugar
  6. 1/4 cupoil + more for frying

Cooking Instructions

    Sift the flour and mix it with sugar and salt.

  2. 2

    Add the ¼cup oil and rub it in the dry ingredients mixture.

  3. 3

    Add the water gradually and knead the dough til it comes together and it stops sticking on your fingers.

    Transfer the dough on a flat surface and keep kneading til the dough is soft.

    Once it is soft, put in a bowl and cover with cling film and leave it for 15mins.

    Cut the soft dough in small balls, roll them out, apply oil and roll them into a spiral and set on a tray. Rpt this til dough is done.

    Cover with a cling film and leave them for 10mins.

    Using a rolling pin, roll out the balls and place on a heated pan one at a time and cook on both sides without oil on medium flame.

    After about 4 chapatis, spread oil on each (one at a time) and cook til both sides are done.

  10. 10

    Rpt step 8 and 9 til all chapatis are ready.

  11. 11

    Enjoy with stew of choice.🍲
